Florida Civil Procedure Rule 1.200 Trial Period Reset Takes Effect January 1, 2027

On October 15, 2026, the Florida Supreme Court amended Rule of Civil Procedure 1.200(h). Starting January 1, 2027, when a case does not reach trial in the set period, the court must consider the availability of the parties when it sets a new trial period.
