How can a buyer confirm liens or zoning on Rockledge property?

Rockledge prepares written letters confirming a property's zoning classification or city liens for a set fee under its public records fee schedule.

The City of Rockledge's public records fee schedule, effective May 5, 2022, lists a charge of $10.00 per letter for written correspondence confirming zoning classification, liens or other information. The fee was current as of October 2026.

Inspecting public records is generally free, though the city may charge $15.00 per hour for extensive clerical or supervisory help beyond the first 30 minutes. A deposit of at least half the estimated cost may be required for larger requests.

A city letter covers only city records, so a full title search is still needed to find mortgages, judgments and county liens.
