What paperwork do Rockledge residential building permits require?
Every Rockledge residential permit starts with a signed, notarized application and scope narrative, and larger jobs also need a recorded Notice of Commencement.
Under the Rockledge residential permit requirements, all residential permits require a signed and notarized Building Permit Application and a detailed written narrative of the work. Owners doing their own work complete an Owner/Builder Affidavit.
Jobs valued at $5,000 or more need a Notice of Commencement recorded with the Brevard County Clerk of Courts, with two copies provided to the Building Department. For an air conditioner changeout, the recorded notice is needed when the job is $15,000 or more.
Tree removal has its own permit, and four trees must remain on the property after removal. Window replacement covering more than 25% of windows requires wind borne debris protection.
