What incentives does the Rockledge CRA offer businesses?
Businesses inside the Rockledge Community Redevelopment District can qualify for facade grants, expedited permits and flexible mixed use zoning.
The Rockledge City Council created the Rockledge Community Redevelopment Agency on January 23, 2002, under Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes. Its district covers about 2,794 acres in four sub districts along Florida Avenue, Barton Boulevard, U.S. Highway 1 and Barnes Boulevard.
The city's incentives list includes a Facade Improvement Grant of up to $10,000.00 in matching funds for commercial owners and tenants in the district. Projects there also get priority review and one stop permitting.
Redevelopment Mixed Use zoning allows up to 25 units per acre and heights of up to 110 feet when certain design criteria are met. Staff reviews each business case by case.
