Does Florida Require a Business License?

Yes, any person or company who plans on providing goods and services of their own in Florida requires, at a minimum, a business tax receipt.

A business tax receipt ensures that you follow all state, county, and city laws. In addition to a business tax receipt, you may also be required to hold a valid license if your industry is regulated.

Licenses can be obtained from the DBPR.
