Easler Law proudly announces that Managing Attorney Andrew David Easler has received his Caribbean Legal Certificate from the Eugene Dupuch Law School (EDLS), making him eligible for admission to the bar across all Caribbean Commonwealth nations, including Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Saint Christopher.
Easler completed the rigorous program in May 2025, culminating in a graduation ceremony on September 20, 2025, at the Margaritaville Beach Resort in Nassau, Bahamas. The event celebrated graduates from both the two-year practical professional training course and the six-month accelerated program, which covers key subjects like Caribbean Law and Legal Systems, Constitutional Law, Law Office Management, Accounting, and Technology.
Established in 1998 by the Council of Legal Education (Caribbean), EDLS is the third law school in the English-speaking Caribbean, named after renowned Bahamian lawyer, journalist, and politician Sir Eugene Dupuch. It delivers specialized vocational training to prepare attorneys for practice in the region, with an emphasis on practical skills applicable to Commonwealth jurisdictions.
A Florida A&M University College of Law alumnus honored with multiple retention scholarships and Dean’s List recognition, Easler brings a decade of expertise to Easler Law. As a forward-thinking estate planning, business, real estate, and probate attorney based in Melbourne, Florida, he specializes in resolving complex regulatory matters, including federal drug and alcohol testing under the FMCSA and USCG. His publications, such as A Guide to FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Testing Regulations, have become essential resources for employers and legal professionals. Easler is a member of the Federal Bar Association and the American Bar Association, with volunteer experience in community education via Junior Achievement and hospice support.
This milestone aligns with Easler Law's strategic expansion of estate planning and real estate services throughout the Caribbean. By leveraging Easler's regional bar eligibility, the firm aims to provide worldwide clients seamless market access and robust asset titling strategies. Titling assets in the Caribbean offers high-net-worth individuals key benefits, including superior asset protection through structures like Belize and Nevis Trusts, tax efficiency to minimize estate and inheritance taxes, enhanced privacy, political stability, and liquidity for tax obligations, thereby safeguarding wealth across borders.
The achievement also advances plans for a new Private Client Division, dedicated to tailored solutions for high-net-worth clients, including irrevocable life insurance trusts (ILITs) for liquidity and spousal lifetime access trusts (SLATs) for intra-family transfers.
James White, Easler Law's Director of Business Development and Entrepreneurship, attended the ceremony to support the firm's Caribbean outreach, fostering partnerships for expanded legal access.
