What Restrictions Apply to the People's Republic of China (PRC)?
Section 7 bars persons and entities associated with the PRC from buying or owning Florida real estate and requires an affidavit. Those who owned property before July 1, 2023 may keep it but cannot acquire more.
Section 7 of the bill imposes restrictions on persons or entities associated with the PRC, barring them from owning or acquiring real estate in Florida. They must provide an affidavit confirming they are not associated with the PRC. Persons or entities associated with the PRC owning property in Florida before July 1, 2023, can continue ownership but cannot purchase or inherit additional property and must register with DEO by December 31, 2023.
